Today, we are faced with 10,000 (micro) decisions that we have to make in one day. And we don’t even realize how many decisions come up and which choices we all make that one day. Of course, that also applies to advertising and the brands and organizations we choose or don’t choose. According to Nobel Prize winner Daniel Kahneman’s theory, humans have two ways of forming thoughts and making these kinds of choices: System 1 and System 2, also known as system thinking. System 1 is formed from emotion, the subconscious mind and reacts intuitively. System 2 is much more rational, thinks and reasons from logic.
Michelle Beckers did an internship with us in the first half of 2020 and she researched this system thinking and how B2B advertising can take advantage of it.
